County Fair & Moore Fun

Last week we went with Mary & her boys to the county fair. I made Brandon come with me to look at all the exhibits (had to go support my fellow 4-Hers ya know) and then we took the kids to the carnival, or the "City of Crumb" as Brandon calls it. Breah was quite enthralled with all the lights and people but wasn't too thrilled about being stuck on an old rickety merry-go-round. She's a good sport though and didn't complain much, even despite of the rain.

Then this weekend Brandon's sister and her family came to stay with us on their way to Arizona. We took the kids to the splash park and BBQ'd and had all sorts of fun. Breah had so much fun playing with the kids and always wanted to be right in the middle of all the action. Her and Squiggle even got to have a slumber party and amazingly enough they both slept all night! It was so sad yesterday though. She didn't really seem to notice anything when she woke up in the morning, but after she woke up from her nap she kept looking over my shoulder and going through the house like she was looking for something. I think she was missing her cousins! So for all you cousins out there reading this (or anyone else that wants to come visit), ya'll better come down and see us sometime!

Breah is kind of funny about water. She always loves baths and usually loves pools and splash parks, but sometimes (this was one of those times) she's a little more timid and it takes awhile to warm up to the idea. But luckily she has the best dad ever and the two of them eventually had a ball running through the fountains, splashing in the river, and wading in the pools.
